January/February catch up-Katie's Bachelorette Party!

I swear it was just last April and I had just announced that Mike proposed to one of my best friends Katie, on Easter! Now she's a married woman. Where does the time go?

The last weekend We threw her a surprise Bachelorette party the same night as Mike's Bachelor party. We went to a local Pub/Bar, then headed over to a Piano bar, then ended the night at a Cantina, dancing. She had a penis in her pants most of the time. A fake penis, of course.

I hardly took any photos in February. With learning of a few tragedies in friends lives, on top of baseball tournaments and theater tryouts, I wasn't in the mood as well as just being too busy.




The single photo I took on 2/14, and a horrible one at that. I had props and matching outfits planned for after school, but with learning of a friend's husband passing that day as well as being at the hospital visiting my cousin the remainder of the day, the mood I was in couldn't be lifted.

We were sitting on the couch, rehearsing her lines for the play she auditioned for. She looks so much older lately. Developing an eclectic style-lots of hats or hair items, chunky necklaces and bold patterns.




The night before Valentines Day, B & I went on a double date with my sister and Lex to Mon Ami Gabi. It's an amazing French restaurant at the Paris Hotel. We could see the Bellagio Hotel's water show from our seats. It was a good night.


Katy's friend Jennifer came from Orlando to support Katy. Jennifer and I had been friends online through Twitter and Facebook for quite some time, so it was nice being able to meet her. I met Jennifer, Katy, and our friend Brittany for dinner at Town Square one night that Jenn was in town.

My Dad & I took the boys and their cousins to a park with a hiking trail that winds up a mountain. The kids loved it. You can see the whole city from the spot at the top of the trail. Everyone(including Jake)hiked the trail with no problems, except me. I was pooped!

The same day we went on the hike, I had taken the boys to clean up a school and help paint bricks for its garden. It was MLK day, and we used their day off of school to do a service in our community. Being involved in the community and in causes is HUGE for me. Jewel was at Universal Studios in California with her Dad that day-she had met someone on the set of the show 'Lie to Me'. This person is related to her Step Mom, and she had wanted to give her pointers on taking acting/theater classes.

Well, Hello!

Was it really January when I last updated? time seems to fly by when I have 3 busy kiddos! I am going to start my catch up where I left off-the end of January.

My youngest kiddo Jake turned FOUR YEARS OLD on January 22nd. I'm still in disbelief that my diaper filled days are long gone. Of course, Jake is my racecar fanatic, so it was only fitting that he had a race car themed party, at the Las Vegas Mini Grand Prix:



We had planned on it being a small party with family, but we have a very large family =)















It was a great day!
